The term “Sustainable Development” was first time used at COCOYOC Declaration on environment and development in early 1970 but this term got popularity in 1987.
The official definition of the term Sustainable Development was introduced in BRUNDTLAND COMMISSION (Our Common Future) in 1987.
“The human ability to ensure that the current development meets the needs of present without comprising the ability of future generation to meet their own needs.”
